Once you have signed contracts and paid your deposit, things start to get fun. You are naturally going to be very eager to get started and to see results as soon as possible, but you have to bear two things in mind: 1. You are most likely not the only client that the website design company has, and just because you have decided to move ahead with the project, it doesn’t mean that they are simply going to drop everything to start on your website. 2. There are quite a lot of steps that lead up to actual development, and any website design company worth their salt will lead you through a number of planning steps first. To put it simply, be patient! Expect at least a week, if not longer, before you begin to see any movement. In all likelihood, your website design team is in the process of clearing space on their schedule to handle your website and this can take time, especially if they are really busy. In your discussions with your team, it would be advisable to talk about timelines with them, and make them aware of any specific dates that you might want to take advantage of. If your team knows what your deadlines are, they can then schedule their development around your plans. Always remember to set realistic goals, otherwise you will just be setting yourself up for disappointment and creating unnecessary pressure on your team.
